A Service of Remembrance held in the Village Hall on Sunday 13th November was well attended by parishioners. For the last few years the Methodist and Anglican churches have held a joint service in the Village Hall to commemorate the men of Bradley who fought in both World Wars. The service this year was led by Rev. John Lancaster who chose as his theme the Battle of the Somme.
Reverend Lancaster, who moved to Bradley on his retirement, has suggested that villagers may wish to consider a larger community event as well as a Remembrance Service in 2018 to commemorate the Centenary of the end of the First World War.
If you are interested in being involved or have any information about anyone who served in this war, please email your details Bradley’s Parish Clerk on firstname.lastname@example.org or leave your contact details at the Village Shop.
