Film Club: Next up in the series of Steven Spielberg films is War of The Worlds (12+), which will be shown this evening at 7pm, in the school hall. Admission is free and snacks are available to buy. There is also a loop system.

Table top sale: St Mary’s Church will hold a fair, with a table top sale, in the village hall on Saturday from 10am to 3pm. Any individual or organisation who would like to have a table should contact Anne Hunt on 01535 636179. The cost is £10.

Women’s Institute: The next meeting of Bradley Women’s Institute is at 7pm on Monday in the village hall. New members are welcome.

Bradley Show: Thanks go to everyone who contributed to the success of this year’s Bradley Show. A total of £1,626.59 was raised, which is double last year’s profit. So far, the committee have decided to make donations to the parish council for tree planting on the playing fields, the Women’s Institute for hall rental costs, the Brownies and Guides for a gazebo, the school for netball hoops, and for the village Christmas tree. There are plans to extend Bradley Show next year, including starting earlier in the day and having country attractions and demonstrations.

Christmas Fair: There will be a Christmas Fair in the village hall on Saturday, November 28, from 10am to 12.30pm. There will be Christmas wreaths for sale and to order, along with gifts, decorations and crafts. Anyone wishing to book a stall should contact Susan Dobson on 01535 633363 or 07823 347561. Proceeds will be donated to The Springfield Project and Bradley school’s charity KASIN.

School news: Linton class enjoyed a visit to York, including The Dig and the Jorvik Viking Centre, while Grassington class visited the Imperial War Museum in Manchester. The school is collecting tokens from promotional 500g tubs of Flora Original, Light and Buttery. For every 50 tokens, the school will receive a Samsung Galaxy tablet.

Parish council: The parish council will meet at 7.30pm on Tuesday in the village hall.
