Many thanks to all who have returned their prize cups. A new shield will be presented this year for the most points in the vegetable category, donated by Malcolm Mattock's sons and in his name. There will also be a revamped Presidents trophy for the most points in the Garden category.
New this year is Archery, an aerial bird of prey display, Drums a- go- go, Drystone radio FM 103.5, and a climbing tower.
On Saturday the 2nd September there will be a pre-show party from 5pm. There will be music (some live), a beer tent and Dry stone Radio will be hosting a game of Knurr and Spell (oldie Yorkshire game) from 6pm to 8pm. This is open to all and there will be prizes for adults and children for the furthest hit of the Spell. The party will be filmed and played at the Show on Sunday and will also be available on You Tube. Please contact the show comittee if you would prefer your child not to be filmed.
Come and bring a picnic and enjoy the spectacle!
On Sunday, Drystone radio will be broadcasting from the show from 2pm to 4pm and presenters will be James Proctor (ex Scandinavian BBC broadcaster and Bradley resident), Stephen Brown and young P.J. Hitchcock. David Adams will be our guest of honour presenting the prizes.
If the weather is fine the Kildwick Knitting group will be displaying their new creation 'A Knitted Meadow'.
Much of the money raised at the Show is collected on the gates. If you are able to volunteer, please sign up at the Village Store. Extra help is also needed to erect the marquees on Friday the 1st at 6:30pm. Preparations for the Show will continue in the park on Saturday 2nd at 10am. Please help if you can.
